Thu, 12 Jan 2012 20:40:02 +0100 (Reuters) - Hungarian Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi attends an interview with Reuters in Budapest January 12, 2012. Martonyi said on Thursday the government wanted to negotiate with the European Union over disputed legislation, most notably new central bank regulations, rather than see the issues go before the bloc's highest court. Martonyi told Reuters in an interview that the government would fully respect the independence of the central bank, a key sticking point in talks with the IMF and EU on a standby loan needed to ensure Hungary can refinance its debts via markets.
